WE ARE BACK!
It has been about a month since our last show, and much has happened in that month. As you can see, the site has changed. We hope that this episode will be an example of our new commitment to bring great shows to you. Here is a synopsis of our first show of season 2.
Skit: “Failure”
- Roger and Josh give you a short skit about how God cares for us and how God never fails.
Daily Grind: This is the part of the show where we share what we have been up to.
It has been a while since our last show. So we gave a brief rundown of what we have been doing. Josh mentions several things that can be found here on the website. Some of these things are: Blog posts, polls (on the right sidebar), podcast and show notes, contact info, links to our podcast feed, links to other noteworthy podcasts (on the right sidebar), episodes from season 1.
Espresso Double Shot:
Verse of the week: Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Thought of the week: Don’t be afraid and don’t despair because God said He would always be there.
Cappuccino Corner: This is the part of the show where we get to share listener mail.
Anita — She sent us an email that fit perfectly with this episode’s topic.
Coffee Break:
Today we heard a promotional recording for the “Geek Loves Nerd” podcast. It’s well worth listening to when you’re not listening to The Broken Mug.
Featured Blend: Looking back at 2008 and forward to 2009.
We listed several events from 2008 that we found on Wikipedia. Most of these events painted a grim picture of 2008. We followed these by painting a much better picture from the Bible of how God will take care of us during grim times.
Joshua 1:7-9; Jeremiah 31:3; Deuteronomy 33:27
Good to the Last Drop:
Remember, if you feel like a broken mug, God the master potter can fix you!
